The issue with this one is that technology legislation is always a couple of years behind the times. By the time the big guns in the tech (or in this case the media) industry actually get the politicians to do something to protect IP the game has changed and the methods etc have often changed.

Sadly, the EU will be the biggest problem with legislation like this. The law will be unnecessarily complex, require further ratification within member states (which will like add more complexity) and by then it’ll be largely ineffective. Cumbersome to interpret and difficult to enforce properly.

The best move recently is the govt’s attempts to help smaller owners of IP get an easier route to legal remedy through a simplified version of IP legal process. Hopefully it’ll help.

I guess Google+ should come up with innovative ideas other than Twitter and Facebook already have. Recently they launch celebrity verification badges which is ok but not an advanced feature. I guess they should analyze each & every page created on Facebook that goes against the Facebook.

The reach of Google + is growing very quickly with those in the initial test group inviting friends outside of the test group. I think that this will take a number of users away from Facebook, especially those concerned about privacy settings.

You see, I’m torn here. I want someone to take on Facebook because it’s getting to be a bit of a monopoly, but I didn’t really want it to be another monopoly doing it. But if it’s invite only then it’s a bit of a closed club.

There is nothing like Paris. The warm feeling, even when cold, surrounds you with all of its’ magnificent structures, restaurants and beautiful and majestic museums. I love the smell of the air, and walking down the narrow cobblestoned streets with a delicious French Baguette in hand. The croissants, the pate, the cheese…
I could just go on since in Paris you never run out of things to do or see! I absolutely LOVE Paris!

I think those figures are particularly interesting.

I’m amazed by the growth in Facebook advertising and would be interested to hear other people’s views. Is it mainly being used as a branding activity, or are advertisers monitoring the returns that they are getting there?

That’s no problem, it’s a great competition so I’m happy to share information on it.
The idea is roughly covered by Linkedin, however, I believe there could be a much improved platform which could be increasingly specialised and localised to local business owners.
